D1 ODAIBA

The D1 Grand Prix Odaiba Exhibition Match was decided to be held for 2008. The drift battle in the heat of Tokyo that has been held for 2 consecutive years in 2004-2005 comes back after yearning of three years. The top 20 few drivers from the D1 Grand Prix series will pound away the weekend of the temporary Odaiba obstacles.

Since incensement of audience is greatly assumed from past experience we have prepared a great temporary grand stand with a possible seating of 8,000 spectators to have every one taste the atmosphere of street drifting in the heart of the city. D1 Tokyo Drift at the heart Tokyo downtown literally no time from the train station is just a breeze away from the shopping area. Besides witnessing the actual race live, it has also been decided to telecast nationwide television at noon on 21st of July.

As always the judge panel is accompanied by the golden trio: Keiichi "Drift King" Tsuchiya, The ever loquacious announcer Manabu "Mana-P" Suzuki, D1 Senior Advisor Daijiro "Dai" Inada" and also Hisashi "Oni-Gunso" Kamimoto as the assistant judge to strictly the drifting in this event as well. Professional drifting is highly entertaining for the audience and D1 Grand Prix drivers are encouraged to think of themselves not just as drivers, but also as entertainers. The car control skills exhibited by the top D1GP drivers often amaze the crowd, and even sometimes the seasoned judging panel.
